Answers to the most common questions about Treefie.

Which iPhones does Treefie work on?

Any iPhone running iOS 26 or later can scan and identify plants. Full care guides are written by Apple Intelligence, so they need an iPhone that supports it (iPhone 15 Pro or newer) with Apple Intelligence turned on in Settings.

Why does it say "It's a plant, but which one?"

Treefie's on-device scan recognises many common flowers, trees, herbs and houseplants, but not every species. When it isn't sure, tap the leaf badge on the photo to see Apple's Visual Look Up, then type the name and Treefie writes the care guide.

The name is wrong. Can I fix it?

Yes. On any result, tap Not right?, type the correct name, and Treefie rewrites the care guide for it.

How do I get tips for where I live?

Tap ๐Ÿ“ Local tips on the scan screen and allow location access. Each result then includes a 0โ€“10 score for growing that plant outdoors in your town.

Tips for a better scan

Fill the frame with one plant, use good daylight, and focus on a leaf or flower rather than a whole garden.

Is my data private?

Yes. Everything runs on your iPhone and Treefie collects no data. See the privacy policy.
